HDPE: the material that works in Hong Kong
Material matters more than anything else when buying an outdoor cabinet. Wood, metal and plastic are all sold as "outdoor" storage, but in Hong Kong's climate HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is the one that genuinely holds up.

Sliding-door cabinets — the space saver
Sliding doors need no clearance to open, which makes them ideal for a narrow Hong Kong balcony. They also stack, so you can build up to the height you need.

The L01 and M01 specifications allow stacking, quote an approximate 90kg load, and recommend a total height no greater than 1.6m. Confirm the chosen combination, floor and installation arrangements before ordering. Do not apply these limits to other models.
Compact cabinets and shoe lockers — for tight spaces
If your balcony is short on space, or you simply need an outdoor shoe locker, the compact HDPE cabinet (87 × 38 × 90 cm) is the answer. It starts at HK$1,500, includes two shelves, and works equally well for shoes or cleaning supplies.

How to choose the right size
Before choosing a waterproof balcony cabinet, measure these three things:
- Available space — length, width and height, leaving clearance for the doors
- Doorway width — make sure the cabinet can actually reach the balcony, past your front door and corridor
- What you need to store — list the items, then estimate the volume
Tip: measure the clear doorway width and height, corridor turns, lift and the full route to the balcony. Send dimensions and photos to our team to confirm packaging dimensions and access. Cabinet width alone does not establish whether it can be carried through sideways.
Delivery and installation
Every cabinet comes with professional installation from HK$200. Delivery is usually 4–10 days after ordering, seven days a week, between 9am and 10pm.
A few things to note:
- Stairs or a long carry incur an additional handling fee
- The delivery address needs somewhere for the truck to park
- Please give us two days' notice to change a delivery date

Yes. HDPE is inherently waterproof — rain will not make it mould, swell or warp. Combined with stainless steel fixings, the whole cabinet is built to stay outdoors permanently on a balcony or in a garden.
Gardening tools, outdoor cushions, BBQ equipment, cleaning supplies, children's toys, shoes and so on. We would not recommend valuables or electronics. Extra shelves are available if you want to organise the space.
Sliding doors need no clearance in front, so they suit narrow balconies. Hinged doors give more capacity and easier access to bulky items. Sliding models also stack, which makes them the more flexible choice.
No — we install on site. Installation is HK$200–400 depending on the model, carried out by our own fitters so it ends up stable and secure. Delivery and installation are usually complete within 4–10 days of ordering.
Under most Deeds of Mutual Covenant and estate rules a balcony cabinet is generally fine, provided it does not block a means of escape or alter the external structure. Rules vary by estate, so check with your property management office before buying.
